We are currently looking for adult volunteers for Operation Generation for this school year! In its fourth school year running, Operation Generation is a seniors and youth program, providing opportunities for youth to become connected with older folks through bike maintenance and bike rides, with the additional opportunity for youth to be able to earn a bicycle through the program.
Volunteers work with youth in a high-school environment; Having fun, learning about bicycle mechanics, and building community. Volunteers are required to complete a criminal record check before-hand.
Check out the following short promotional video highlighting the bicycle program portion of Operation Generation, at John Barsby Secondary School.
