Park Tool School

Hey gentle men and gentle women,
We’re again offering our Park Tool School, the 30-hour bike mechanics course.  During the course, we go over many aspects of bicycle mechanics, and try hard to offer our students a very well-rounded experience!  Our next session begins on March 18th.

Course costs are $315 normal registration, or $262.50 for Students/Low income.  It includes a month of shop use from the beginning of the course, 30 hours of instruction, and a copy of a Park Tools repair manual.  The course will be a series of workshops held in our shop, focusing on:

Flat repair
Wheel truing
Tool usage, torque
Mechanical disk and rim brake adjustment
Drive-train adjustments, installations
Bearing overhauls
Drive-train cleaning
On-ride repairs
…and more!

Two areas we do not cover in-depth are:
Hydraulic disk/rim brakes
Suspension
This is due to the fact we rarely are asked to service these items in our shop, and aren’t set up do so.

Our course dates will be:
Tues March 18, 6:30 – 9:00pm
Wed March 19, 6:30 – 9:00pm
Sunday March 23, 10:00 – 4:00pm
Tues March 25, 6:30 – 9:00pm
Sunday March 30, 10:00 – 6:00pm
Tues April 1, 6:30 – 9:00pm
Wed April 2, 6:30 – 9:00pm
Sunday April 6th, 10:00am – 4:00pm

To register, call our shop, or drop by in person, to pay our $50 deposit to hold your space.  Class sizes are limited at four people.
