We recently hosted a Wheel building workshop led by Beyond a Bike‘s Brenna Coupland. In May 2013, she began riding her bicycle from Vancouver to Phoenix, Arizona, carrying all of the tools needed for basic bike maintenance and repair. Along the route she will visit community bike shops, schools and other facilities and offer bicycle presentations and workshops to raise money for high school bicycle program in Fisantekraal, South Africa, as part of the Beeyond a Bike mission. One way she is raising money is through the sale of t-shirts. In fact, each t-shirt sold can purchase up to 3 bike tubes, a small set of wrenches or 1000 ball bearings!
Thank You For Seeing Me T-Shirts are available at Hub City Cycles. Design by Positive Cycology “…building a compassionate environment for all who use the road”
Printed with water based inks by Aly at The Purple Thistle Youth Arts and Activism Center.
$20 each, available in S M and L men sizes (loose fit).
Fisantekraal is the name of a township approximately 40 km from Cape Town, South Africa. Peace and Love International, in partnership with Fisanekraal High School, is preparing to launch a bicycle education program in the school in the coming year. The group has recently received 15 donated bicycles and is in the process of developing a program that provides education to their students in bicycle mechanics and repair.
