We wanted to report that we were able to have a valid AGM last Tuesday April 2nd on our second attempt.
Most notable are the new Directors of the Board, Tyler Walker and Farrell Gilmour who will be joining reelected board members Jawn Lafratta and Justin Francis.
A rule change regarding quorum at meetings was also made to prevent future meetings from being delayed and suspended as has been the case last year and this year as well:
Rule 57 regarding quorum at an AGM formerly read:
The quorum for the transaction of business at a general meeting is 10% of the total number of members entitled to vote at the meeting, or three members, whichever is the greater.
The new rule 57 will read:
If there are fewer than 150 Members, no business shall be transacted at a general meeting unless a quorum of 5 Members or 10% of the membership–whichever is greater–is present in person at the time when the meeting proceeds to business.
If there are 150 or more Members, no business shall be transacted at a general meeting unless a quorum of 15 members are present in person at the time when the meeting proceeds to business.
